Great bed and a generous breakfast, but the water was old and the shower drain didn’t work; the house in front of us looked run-down

A very nice, quiet location almost without traffic, right on the canal with a view of the boats; still only a 5‑minute walk from the relaxed central square near the church, and the bed was noteworthy—comfortable and sturdy mattress

“Teleurstellend”

The location by the water in the lovely town of Workum is stunning, and the bed is fine while the room stays clean. However, the house and garden are in dire need of maintenance, and the converted shed feels like a makeshift B&B with no insulation, so the interior temperature matches the outside. The kitchen is old, the tap is loose, and attempts to outfit it with various appliances and extension cords fall short. The shutters on the house are broken, giving the whole place a bleak, decayed vibe, and the price‑to‑value ratio is completely off.

“Prima B&B voor kort verblijf”

The B&B sits across the water where you can see boats docked, creating a lively scene, and the village itself is stretched out and quiet with a few restaurants nearby. The owner arranged a breakfast on request that was truly exquisite, complete with everything. The garden could use some attention and has potential, and I also noticed the absence of a hair dryer in the B&B—perhaps a suggestion to add one would help.
