The proximity was a plus, but they should have warned me that I’d be staying overnight at a nightclub; I couldn’t sleep through the music that rattled the room and the chaos outside from the young bar patrons at the window (room 213) – a place to avoid, especially given the poor soundproofing.

The accommodation sits right on metro lines 8 and 9, making everything in Paris easily reachable; the staff were very friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. We had a family room made up of two rooms—one with two single beds and one with a double bed. The room faced the courtyard, so it was quiet at night.
