“Foi boa”
The lady who works there is very attentive, the inn is good but the bathroom flush needs improvement—when you flush it doesn’t go down, you have to use the flush and shower at the same time, which creates a bacterial mess that ends up on you; I found that part horrible. I stayed in the room near the kitchen; by 6 am they were already making a lot of noise, talking loudly and not respecting other guests. The breakfast was fine, nothing to complain about. The bathroom’s weak flush was the only issue.
“muito agradável”
The pousada is simple but everything is clean, the hosts are helpful, and breakfast is basically what you’d eat at home; for the price it felt good, the room has a minibar, air‑conditioning (though I didn’t turn it on because it was cold), a large bathroom and a comfortable bed, plus four pillows that let me pick which to sleep on, and the place feels safe. The only downside is there’s no garage, so we parked in front on a slope and worried the car might roll down, but otherwise I’d come back.
The lodge feels very cozy, like home. We stayed for 5 days, and Lurdinha was very attentive when we couldn’t get another day through the platform, letting us stay an extra night. The breakfast made me cry (literally) because it brought back family memories, the food was full of affection, the taste of homemade cooking, and they always offered something extra beyond the buffet. The warm morning greeting, “want a little egg? A tapioca?”—I would definitely book again at Pousada da Lurdinha.
The place is lovely, the breakfast was excellent, and I want to praise how caring the staff are. Everything matches the photos; the view is truly fantastic. The location listed on the booking site is wrong; use the one on Google Maps instead.
Breakfast is exceptional; Cristina makes a delicious couscous and tapioca, plus other treats. The location is perfect for walking or driving, though there is a hill to climb, and it’s close to the historic center.
