“Convenient simple option for Becán and Calakmul tourism.”

I missed the free continental breakfast because of a time change, though coffee was available. The room was very clean, but the first one had a lot of ants (apparently they’re common here), so they moved me to another room, which was fine. It’s just off the highway, but they supplied earplugs and traffic wasn’t too loud. There’s a restaurant on site and the A/C worked great. The only downside is that it’s on the edge of the small town; if you don’t have transport, you’ll probably need a taxi, which I’m sure would be easy. I had a car, so no problem.

The hotel lacks comfort, has no fridge, hard bedding, many ants, and is very noisy.

The staff were very helpful—arranged taxis, gave contacts for archaeological sites, and served dinner after my late arrival. However, the location on the roadside with heavy truck traffic and a rooster that wakes you before 5 am ruins the experience.
