It was cheap and not very busy. I booked a non‑smoking room, but when I entered there was a strong smoke smell, the bathroom door wouldn’t close, and cobwebs covered the window; the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. I asked the front desk for a room change and they initially said no rooms were available unless I paid extra to upgrade. The staff claimed the room didn’t smell like smoke and implied I was lying, so I told him he could walk in with me to verify. After arguing for a few minutes and explaining the smell was strong enough to give me a headache, he said “oh, I found a room for you now,” even though he had just said there were none. The new room didn’t smell like smoke and was slightly better, but the manager seemed annoyed with me for the whole stay.

The bed was nice and comfy, yet the continental breakfast was basically a no‑go and the shower curtain was too short, letting water run onto the floor.

I slept well on the comfortable mattress, but the bed was too tall, making it hard for an older person to get up into.
