Hotel Austral Ushuaia

The place is well situated, but the faucets leaked, it was very cold, the main radiator was inadequate and the bathroom one didn’t work.

“Caro como tudo em Ushuaia”

The location was good, breakfast was fine even though the food was served by a staff member and you had to point out what you wanted; the thermal isolation of apartment 6 was so good that it got hot inside, everything looked new and organized; we had a microwave, kettle, sandwich maker, tea, and a kettle. Cleaning was an issue: under the bed and on top of the wardrobes was very dirty, enough to stain clothes, a big hair strand on a “clean” towel; the shower in apartment 6 oscillated a lot and you couldn’t set the temperature, it cooled and heated abruptly, it needs adjustment. The apartment had kitchen items, but you had to wash and store them. When I booked I didn’t know the actual price would be higher because they convert dollar/peso/real through the Argentine national bank rate, which should have been disclosed beforehand as it raises the cost significantly.

“expectativa x realidade , o hotel é bom sim , mas não é ótimo nem excelente.”

The location was fine, but the bed was two single beds, the hallway light stayed on at night, a sensor could have helped, and the noise from our room and the others could be heard and vice versa.

“Solid Southern Option”

The place is close to Ushuaia’s center, the apartment I stayed in was spacious and well equipped, the staff offered great recommendations, and breakfast was good though a bit limited.

“Il mio soggiorno a Ushuaia”

When I first saw the room, it felt immediately welcoming, clean, and bright. It was spacious and beautifully decorated, just like the rest of the hotel. The staff—Araceli and Fernando at reception, the kitchen staff, and the cleaners—were all available and friendly. From the hotel I was able to book some excursions and received information about activities I could do on my own. I really appreciated the variety and quality of the breakfast items, which were fresh. The location is fantastic, just a few steps from the main street and the marina.
