There was no lift; the staff said it had been out of service for three months or more, and it was chaotic because one of our group members was disabled by legs and couldn’t climb, and they were not sorry about it. No service – in the name of a hostel‑like vibe they provide no service and charge the same or perhaps more than hotels in the same category.

Nothing positive. The place was under maintenance with construction workers everywhere; please, if you’re a solo female traveller, don’t go.

The staff were fairly helpful and the café food was tasty, but the whole property was falling apart. The bathroom roof leaked, which apparently happens every monsoon, there were visible cockroaches and damp walls in the room, the road to the property was broken, and it’s in a weird location. The vibe in the hostel was dead; I wouldn’t want to stay here again.
