“Something a little different but good experience.”
If you’re after peace, this place delivers in abundance. It’s off the beaten path and wonderfully rustic. The owners were attentive, welcoming, and friendly. We were invited to sit in the garden at sunset, watch the stars and Milky Way—zero light pollution—and learn a bit about local wildlife. The bedroom and en‑suite were comfortable. We paid €10 for our dog, and breakfast cost €6 each. Nothing else. I should note that this isn’t a hotel. We hadn’t realized dinner was pre‑ordered, which we hadn’t arranged. The nearest restaurants are in Trujillo about 12 km away, and we’d already been on the road all day. Francisco seemed to take pity on us, and his mother managed to pull together a very welcome and satisfying meal, for which we were very grateful.
