“It's are walk”

My week got crazy, but I managed to spend Sunday night here and went to bed early because I was checking out the next morning. The place itself was fine, yet getting to it was a hassle – the bus stop is up two hills and King George Road isn’t as quiet as advertised. On Friday and Saturday the traffic was heavy, making it a pain to cross the road.

“Very very bad”

I couldn’t find a single thing I liked about this place. The walls were paper‑thin, so every noise from the next room was crystal clear and drove me crazy. It was a terrible spot to stay and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

The flat was spotless and the kitchen had everything – pots, oven, microwave, air‑fryer and induction stove – plus both indoor and outdoor bathrooms, the latter with a washer and detergent, which I liked for privacy. It’s about a 15‑minute walk to the train station, and the soundproofing was only average, so I had to wear earplugs at night. Other guests were courteous and would remind each other if someone got too loud.

“Much nicer than expected for the price”

The spot was perfect – just a short walk to shops, eateries and an IGA, yet set back enough to stay quiet, and the room was surprisingly spacious with a handy fridge. The downside was the kitchen, which looked worn out, and the extra bathroom/laundry out in the backyard got chilly when I used it after dark.

The room was far smaller than the photos suggested and the walls were practically non‑existent, so I could hear people moving around at all hours of the night. Not what I expected at all.
