Breakfast disappointed us twice—loaves were not fresh and the bowls were empty. On the third day it improved, probably because more staff were present.

The breakfast was well prepared and of good quality, with helpful and attentive staff. The room was not available, and at the hotel bar we were completely ignored; on the first morning we had a cold shower, on the second a clogged drain; meanwhile, roadworks on both sides of the hotel caused a lot of noise in the morning and traffic chaos all day. The room had absolutely no storage space, so we had to unpack the suitcase.

The location is great—directly next to the train station (with the funicular) and the pedestrian zone just around the corner, plus the Arkaden shopping centre is also nearby; breakfast was decent. The parking spot in the underground garage cannot be reserved in advance and the signage to the garage is missing; the room lacked a wardrobe, and for our two‑night stay we received no room service.
