“Une expérience incroyable au bout du monde”

We arrived off‑season the last night of our stay, but after contacting the place everything was arranged for us to be welcomed in the best conditions. The gentleman who greeted us and cooked for us was truly lovely, and the meals were delicious. We had booked a room in the main building but were offered the villa on the beach facing the ocean at the same price. We enjoyed a peaceful stay as the only guests, and the guide accompanying us could also be accommodated on site. The location is truly amazing, surrounded by a coconut plantation. The beach was immediately reachable but didn’t seem suitable for swimming, so we used the infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The maintenance guy was very attentive, taking care of our luggage, bringing us chairs, and cleaning the pool, which was immaculate. In these special circumstances we had an exceptional, timeless experience away from the bustle.

“Absolutely lovely hosts, nice pool, bit overrated in terms of the price per night”

The host family is lovely and runs this small business well, trying to meet every wish you might have. The rooms were clean, the AC worked, and the infinity pool was lifesaving in the heat of northern Sri Lanka. The food was very good and handmade. The place feels a bit worn out in terms of furniture and around the pool area, and the beach is very dirty, so you can’t really use it. Compared to other places (we stayed in nine different spots during our three‑week stay), the price‑value isn’t the best, especially considering it was off‑season.

The setting was idyllic and the staff were attentive; I recommend the beachfront villa, which is truly exceptional. We ate well, the ocean‑view pool was gorgeous, and we even stayed an extra night. Go for it 😁

“Großer Strand ohne Müll das große Paradies”

We received an upgrade to the dunes house, and the view and quiet were a dream. We extended twice because we were the only guests, and the beach had no neighbors. The beach itself is a dream but littered with trash; we collected 7 bags and it would have been nice if the staff had joined in. Only dog lovers should stay here; the mama with her about 6‑month‑old puppies is affectionate yet playful. The food was okay but simply cooked; we ate elsewhere for 2500 Rupia for the whole family. Vegan options were not offered, so I was lucky to have soy and tofu. The palms urgently need pruning to avoid falling hazards. Anyone who cares about a pristine nail near the pool should stay elsewhere.

We had a lovely end to our trip here; it was very calm and relaxing, exactly what we wanted. The hosts were sweet, especially with our baby daughter, and the room was spacious with comfy beds.
