The location is fabulous, the exterior looks lovely and the interior doesn’t disappoint either. The staff were very welcoming and the check‑in process was smooth. The room was very spacious and comfortable. Some very minor details – the kettle lid was grubby, as was the bottom of the shower door. Everything else was spotless though. The TV was a bit of a challenge to operate.

Very comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly, and the prices were good. The only drawback is that the property is near the town clock, which isn’t the fault of the hotel—you can hear it from all over the town.

I slept on a bed that was uncomfortable, there was no breakfast, and on Sunday the kitchen was closed.

The hotel was in a good spot, parking was close enough, the room was clean and welcoming with nice decor throughout, and the staff were helpful. However, I had booked expecting breakfast, only to be told after paying that it was no longer available; a refund was issued and we ended up eating breakfast across the road.
