The view from the room was lovely and the host was genuinely friendly, keeping everything tidy. Breakfast changed each morning – fried toast on day one, pastries on day two – and both were fine. The pool stayed clean and well‑maintained throughout our stay.

Staying right on the reservoir felt like stepping into a fairy‑tale. The owners sent a super‑detailed email right after we booked, full of tips on meals and nearby sights, and greeted us with big smiles. Breakfast was homemade with local ingredients, and the banitsa was unforgettable; the staff were always ready to help with anything. We’re already planning to bring our little Jack Russell back for another visit.

The young owner, who also speaks German, was surprisingly upbeat and welcoming, and his place had a fairly large pool that gave the whole spot a family‑like vibe. We could use the grill and a shared kitchen for self‑catering, and most of the breakfast came straight from his own kitchen. He knew the surrounding nature inside out, pointing us to historic sites, great river views, and even warning about the vultures circling the cliffs if you try the hike. Perperikon is nearby, still a hidden gem.
