The staff were nice, the rooms were clean with good mattresses, and the location was very quiet, but the furnishings look like they’re from the 70s.

The location is very quiet, even though there’s a campsite right outside the door. The carpet in the room is very old (it could probably tell some stories from the 80s) with burn marks and a nasty smell. The furniture is very worn, rustic oak (which fits the house), and there are no window screens—especially important in summer when you’d want to keep the windows open to avoid the stale odor. The TV is the size of a PC monitor, and from the bed it’s hard to watch. Mondays are a day off, so there’s no breakfast. Overall, it’s very dated. The pool wasn’t operational, was covered, and just sat there. Too bad the Tannenhof deserved more charm.

The mattresses were good. There was no TV programming, the shower was broken, the beds weren’t made, and the towels weren’t changed.

The surroundings are natural. The room really needed an upgrade and refresh.
