The hotel was solid, comfortable, and had brand‑new facilities; it had that American motel vibe but everything was new and working well. The location worked nicely for our group heading to the EAA Airventure in Oshkosh, and parking was easy with plenty of free spots. The coffee was weak, as is typical in American motels, but I was really bothered by the lack of cleanliness in the coffee lounge and the slow restocking of supplies. The room curtain was short, letting in a lot of morning light, so I had to stuff pillows in the window to dim the room.

The staff were very helpful and did a great job fixing an issue, but the people upstairs were noisy, refused to answer their phone, and the front desk couldn’t assist. The tub was slippery while showering, and the front desk girl mentioned she’d worked nine straight days. We stayed specifically to dine at The Chop House, but the meal was horrible, so I would not recommend the Wissota Chop House to anyone.

There wasn’t much to say positively, and the only problem was that no room was available for us after we had reserved and confirmed.

The location was great, but the rooms advertised as suites were only a bed and a somewhat separate couch with a small TV that didn’t work, which didn’t match my expectations.
