The location and the surrounding mountain views were beautiful. The bathrooms seemed to have relatively new tiling, and some staff members were polite and helpful. Unfortunately, cleanliness and hygiene were our main concerns, and our experience was very different from what we expected based on the high ratings. There were persistent unpleasant odors in parts of the property. During normal interactions, some staff members also had noticeably strong body odor, which made us uncomfortable. The room and furnishings did not give us a reassuring feeling of cleanliness. Much of the furniture, carpeting and bedding was dark-colored, making it difficult to judge their actual cleanliness. The restaurant was also disappointing: the tables and table coverings/mats appeared dirty. When we raised our concerns, we were repeatedly assured that everything was clean and excellent, but this did not match what we personally observed and experienced. Although the bathrooms appeared relatively recently tiled, the ventilation was poor. Several exhaust fans did not seem to work properly, and two adjacent bathrooms appeared to be connected through the ventilation openings, allowing odors to pass between them rather than being effectively extracted. Overall, hygiene, odors, ventilation and cleanliness made our stay uncomfortable. Based on our personal experience, the condition of the property did not reflect the very high review scores we had seen before booking.
