The place was well‑located near restaurants, the beach, and a supermarket, and the manager was very polite. It was a very quiet spot, and the breakfast was simple yet sufficient. The room had air conditioning, though the unit was very noisy. The room could have been cleaner, with better‑arranged linens, and the mattresses were not ideal.

The location was great and the coffee was good, but the beds were uncomfortable and the bathroom smelled like sewage. Parking was on the street, there was no minibar, so we had to go out to buy drinks, and the reception was empty so we couldn't get water.

There’s a fantastic walk on the Gigica boardwalk, passing a mangrove over a wooden walkway to a beach where the sea meets the river—absolutely gorgeous 😃. The city has supermarkets and shops, and the lodge has animals that make the environment friendly for small children. Breakfast was satisfactory. If you’re just looking to relax, it’s perfect; for sightseeing, it falls short. We planned to stay three days but only stayed two, and the experience was let down by the town’s lack of tourist infrastructure. The hosts were very welcoming, but the room had an unpleasant odor, making it hard to sleep if you’re allergic. All rooms require stairs to access, the central beach is very dirty, and to reach other beaches you need to bring your own food and drinks—there’s no infrastructure or stalls. The bed I slept in had a hole, and there were two box beds side by side. The hosts and staff did everything to make the stay enjoyable, but the structural problems at the lodge and the area bothered me. The locals were very pleasant, polite, and welcoming. Have a good trip and enjoy; what didn’t suit me may not matter to others. Thank you to all the staff, they’re 1000.
