Blandford Hotel

“Room was very small but comfortable. High rate reflected the Saturday night stay. Very good overall”

The staff were truly first‑class, and the bed and mattress were among the most comfortable I’ve slept on; the bathroom and shower were spotless and excellent. The room itself was very small, the AC was broken, and there was no mini‑fridge, so it got hot and uncomfortable, especially with construction workers outside and the window open. Overall, the room was good, but without the ongoing works the AC would have made it much better.

“Très mauvais rapport qualité-prix.”

The hotel’s location is perfect, within walking distance of Marylebone’s shopping streets and just steps from Baker Street tube station, which makes getting around quick. However, I wasn’t told the property was under renovation, so the rooms had no air‑conditioning. That lack of AC made the room feel like a sauna at night, with temperatures climbing above 25 °C while it was only 15 °C outside, and the staff did nothing to fix it. I also found a dirty sock that didn’t belong to me under the bed, and the remote control was missing a button. Paying over £300 a night for this is unacceptable.

The staff were very kind, helpful, and positive throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. The breakfast was also quite adequate. Unfortunately, the room felt cramped and a bit stuffy; the window faced an internal ventilation shaft, so there was little fresh air or natural light, and we even spotted a moth. On the first day we asked about switching rooms because of noise, but none were available. Despite the friendly service, the room’s size and ventilation made us think we’d choose a different hotel next time.

The location was good, and the breakfast was decent. The room was very tiny, and the staff weren’t very friendly.

“if air conditioner worked, it was good stay.”

The location was great. The air conditioner didn’t work, and it was too hot on the third floor.
