The spot is handy in the city center, but there is no breakfast available.

The operation is relaxed, and the manager is empathetic, very helpful, and considerate. The bar is cozy and the beer is good.

I only liked the lady at reception, everything else was just fine.

The owner was very friendly and helpful whenever I needed something. The only downside was that the Booking scoring system doesn’t separate different accommodation classes; Hotel bij Verhoeven is a budget hotel and is okay on its own. However, in the evening during my stay, there were music band rehearsals in the basement for a couple of hours, which was noisy. The room’s window faced the hotel’s access staircase, so privacy was only possible with the curtains closed.
