We never made it to the island because of high waves and cancelled ferries, yet the communication and proactive feedback from Wahyu were outstanding! By the end, I was most saddened by missing the island, not because of the island itself, but because we would have loved to meet Wahyu in person. Someone who is so lovely to people he never even met must be the perfect host!

Right in front of a beach, easy access to Telescope or other surf spots, and a surf house called “Likat” down the road is also super convenient. The staff member Wahyu arranged a slow ferry from Padang when no fast boat was available that day, and it got delayed for two days without any notification or response to my follow‑up questions. Luckily I was able to book a last‑minute fast boat on my own and reached the island. Yey!

Everything was really good! Special thanks to Wahyu for his extra help with getting stitches at the hospital. Would definitely stay again!

A beautiful spot right on the sea, with a great host who’s available 24 hours to sort everything out. It would have been nice to have a warm shower.
