The rooms were well equipped, clean, and the inn was cozy, located centrally in the Zittau Mountains (Oybin/Johnsdorf/Zittau/Großschönau/CZ/PL) with relatively good transport links (regional bus/ narrow-gauge railway) discounted or free with a guest card, a good starting point for hikes (Lausche) / Nonnenfelsen Johnsdorf… The menu was small but fine, featuring homemade regional dishes at acceptable prices. The price‑performance of the breakfast buffet (16,90 € !) was completely unjustifiable (frozen rolls / SB sausage), the homemade jam didn’t add any bonus and was not refilled :-( The “minibar” was overpriced. The staff needed a bit of “warming up” but then were chatty (no stress, 5 tables occupied). The singing duo advertised by the inn was not present on any of the 3 days (?) I’m not a folk‑music fan but… the only shop in town was closed.

Traditionally and quaintly furnished, very appealing and beautiful. The staff were super friendly and the chef was excellent, the food was not only a treat for the palate but also a feast for the eyes. The breakfast was okay, but it didn’t live up to a 4‑star standard. Maybe we were also spoiled by the chef 😉

“Urlaub zum Wandern”

The rooms were large and spacious. The bathroom was very small; we had to move the bath chair out to shower. The breakfast buffet was very limited; I would have liked more fruit. I can’t say much about dinner because we only ate once. The other two days we stayed at the Hubertusbaude.

“Super Urlaub.”

Good, sufficient breakfast. Comfortable room, parking at the hotel. Very good public transport connections.
