“温泉最高でした！”
The staff were friendly and made my stay very pleasant. It was a private bath, so I could relax without worrying. The only issue was that the 3rd‑floor room was only reachable by stairs, so be careful about that.
“離れの露天風呂は最高でした”
It was great that there was a bath nearby. I used the open‑air bath, and breakfast was delicious. The building is old, but it was kept clean.
“温泉も満喫出来て良かった。”
The staff were friendly and the hot spring’s private‑use policy was a big plus. No complaints at all.
The staff were extremely nice, spoke little English but went above and beyond to make me have a good time. After getting soaked hiking, they let me use the onsen and shower and dried my shoes. The private onsen were beautiful as well.

All private baths are open 24 hours, so you can relax without time constraints. The front desk leaves a towel nearby so you don’t have to use a wet towel every time you go to a private bath. The spring is located behind the inn and supplies fresh water to the entire Kirishima hot‑spring area, as explained by the staff. The only unrelated issue is that the souvenir shop next to the inn, which seems to function like a roadside station, closes early.
