The location was ideal for us because we came by train and left by train the next day. The room was simple but as we expected. Breakfast was good. The arrival and communication were excellent, making it easy for us to start exploring Salzburg. At breakfast we noticed that instead of napkins there were rolls of kitchen towels. That wasn’t a big deal for us, but we saw foreign guests who seemed a bit confused.

The proximity to the train station is great. The staff are friendly and explanatory. Having a separate shower from the bath is a plus when traveling in a group. The room is small for three people. There are few dining options around the area, so keep that in mind.

We arrived with two adult kids and booked one room for four, asking for separate beds for the kids. A charming, polite, patient front‑desk clerk welcomed us, explained everything even before we asked, and also informed me that we’d been upgraded to a studio. To our surprise we actually received a huge two‑room apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, a double bed in one room, a single bed in the other, a sofa‑sofa and a TV. The place isn’t brand‑new and looks a bit old, but it seems they did their best with what they had, making the most of the situation. We also got a free bus ticket for all of us for 24 hours (one night). The hotel is in a side neighbourhood that might not be the most pleasant to wander at night, but it’s less than a 5‑minute walk to a central bus station, which is also a commercial area with McDonald’s, Burger King, shawarma and falafel shops and bakeries. From the other side it takes about 10 minutes to reach the heart of Salzburg, the river area, and the lively streets. Honestly, relative to what I expected from the reviews I had read before, it was beyond what I anticipated. I don’t know about the regular rooms because I didn’t see them, but regarding the studio apartment we got, there’s nothing negative to write about.

The hotel is just a 5-10 mins walk from main train station. The room was small but comfortable. During the hot summer, the hotel has provided us the mobile air-con during our one-night stay, which we really appreciated
