I was traveling for book fairs, so staying close to BMICH/Aracade was the main reason I chose this spot. I also love the calm, soothing, lovely natural environment, the reasonable pricing, and the friendly, attentive staff. In my most recent stay, a newly fostered puppy was playful and tried to bite me a few times (maybe for play), but a caretaker kept him under control when I got alarmed.

The hostel feels social and has a lovely little garden, and the smoothie bowl is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and the beds feel comfortable, but the place isn't super clean and the beds were a bit damp—probably because of the monsoon season—and the bathrooms didn't seem particularly clean.
