“A wonderful weekend break at a beautiful facility. Highly recommend Wolvekraal to anyone travelling.”

Staying at Wolvekraal was lovely; I appreciated how far apart each unit was positioned and the farm’s beautiful, peaceful setting, but the gas shower can be a bit finicky with temperature and cools down during use, which is somewhat problematic even though I don’t mind it.

“Idyllisch vrijstaand huis buiten Prince Albert”

This little house sits in a perfect spot; after crossing the famous Swartberg Pass you reach Prince Albert and, seven kilometres later, this place. The advice is to eat in town before arriving. It’s truly out in the middle of nowhere and would be amazing in summer, but we visited in winter when it was bitterly cold (about 4 °C at night). There was firewood but nothing to light it, though I’m sure the host would have helped because they were extremely friendly. The only downside was that Wi‑Fi was available solely at the reception, which isn’t usually a problem, but in that freezing weather our son ended up wandering out there alone.

“Wonderful peaceful spot to get away from it all”

A charming little cottage tucked into a stunning Karoo backdrop, quiet and remote—ideal for escaping the city bustle. We lit a fire and stayed warm through the winter night. The drive up is a rough gravel road about 3 kilometers long, but that’s because the main entrance was damaged by recent floods, so it might be temporary.

The place is well kept, tidy, close to town, reasonably priced, and the staff are friendly.
