The rooms were clean and had everything you’d need for a night, the bathroom was spacious, and there was a balcony that could seat two to three people with a nice view from the room. The restaurant with terrace was great. For a longer stay the room might feel a bit small, the beds are a bit short, and anyone taller than 1.80 m will find it tight.

The whole hotel feels rustic and lovingly decorated. The half‑board is very good, and for Swiss standards the price‑performance ratio is excellent. The owner and staff were very friendly and cheerful. On our mountain‑bike group’s request, the owner arranged an early breakfast so we could start our long day comfortably. The hotel sits right at the intersection of Talstrasse and Umbrailstrasse, yet it’s not noisy. The courtyard was quiet at dinner, and the rooms were just as peaceful. Nothing to complain about.
