“I have rebooked for next year.”

The place was simple yet well equipped, quiet, warm, and close to a dog‑agility venue. It felt rustic, with a private river and tolerant sheep and lambs; the fully fenced area was safe for dogs off leash. The only downside was the lack of shade for sitting outside on sunny days—though I could head down to the riverside or set up my own gazebo, and it seems the site is meant for a shade sail in summer.

The place was clean and comfortable, and the fenced area was perfect for letting the dog run free. It sits right by the river with two nearby reserves for walking, and it’s quiet and private.

“We had a great stay, dogs loved it and we’ll be happy to come back.”

The location was great, just a 10‑minute drive from good pubs and cafés, and there were plenty of walking spots for the dogs within walking distance. The fenced outdoor area and the swimmable river nearby were excellent. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was comfy. It was cold in the morning because the sun took a while to rise over the hilltops and reach the house, but the heat pump kept the cottage warm.

We loved the location—it was an incredible spot for our two dogs, and the drive back to town was easy. The place was incredibly clean, and everything needed for cooking was available. The only suggestion would be to add a BBQ, but otherwise I’ll definitely book this spot again next time we travel down south. I had nothing to dislike; it was an excellent spot.
