The downstairs area was nice, yet the room had a water bottle, tags from a previous guest’s clothes, and the bed had to be fixed because it wasn’t on the stand.

The staff were very friendly and gladly supplied towels that were missing when I arrived; they also gave us two free water bottles from the empty vending machines and offered to replace the broken hairdryer. I had planned to leave a $40 tip, but I couldn’t because an email I only saw on May 26th warned of an extra $85 room fee that I was never told about at check‑in, nor was it disclosed beforehand. I was quoted $174.83 for two nights, but my debit card was charged $349.66, including an $85.50 surcharge. I was assured that the double charge would be corrected at checkout, but that hasn’t happened. I would never have chosen this hotel for $260.00, even with the staff’s friendliness. When I arrived, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned—there was a used bar of soap in the tub, less than half a roll of toilet paper, no soap at the sink, and the vending machines were empty. At the quoted rate of $174.83, the stay would have met my expectations, but charging an additional $85.50 for a room with peeling paint, a broken shower fixture, a broken hairdryer, and construction trucks outside the window feels deceptive. I hope this is a misunderstanding and that the agreed price of $174.83 for two nights will be honored; otherwise I will report the overcharge as fraud.
