The room was excellent in the heart of the walled city, spotlessly clean, and the hearty breakfast was too big for us; parking was easy. Nothing else.

The room was beautifully decorated in a historic building on the castle grounds, ideal for exploring the castle, lake and Ioannina town; the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious and huge. The bed felt a little small, but we’re used to the UK super‑king size.

We spent one night at Hotel Kastro while passing through Ioannina from the Peloponnese; the hotel sits beautifully inside the historic castle, right in the center of the old town. Breakfast was excellent, featuring fresh and traditional products, and the free parking was a great bonus for us driving. We really enjoyed it and will definitely return! Nothing to add.

The small hotel, charming and located in the heart of the city inside the castle walls, offered absolute tranquility away from the nearby traffic and noise, with free parking. The furnishings were very refined and elegant. Owner Zois was very kind, attentive, and served breakfast personally in a delightful little room with a wooden platter of rich and varied options, including excellent espresso, cappuccino, and Greek coffee. Absolutely recommended! The bathroom in the room was a bit cramped.
