“Bon séjour, mais communication à améliorer”
The rooms and common areas were clean, the price was fair, and the location was perfect – quiet but just a few minutes’ drive from Leuven’s center. The staff on arrival were friendly. The booking process, however, was a nightmare: months after booking the host asked me to cancel, then vanished from all messages, even about our arrival time. I had to call customer service to confirm we’d be welcomed, which added a lot of stress.
Walking to Leuven’s train station takes about 25 minutes, and the route is pleasant with green surroundings and residential areas. The downside: the dining area, which had a microwave, fridge, and two tables, lacked a sink and stove, and the bathroom didn’t have a hair dryer.
The place is quiet and the bed is good, but the cleaning could use a boost – corners and ceilings were missed, and I only got one towel per person. No fresh towels or a made bed during my stay.
