The staff were helpful and approachable, and they were welcoming. There just aren’t many decent restaurants nearby.

The hotel was basic but comfortable. The shower was a plus for us in Vietnam, where many hotels have bathtubs that are hard to use with mobility issues. The area around the hotel has clearly been redeveloped recently; the old markets have been demolished and replaced by a string of low‑cost hotels (including this one) and a fake, uninteresting night market. Outside the night market, most restaurants are outdoor seafood spots and there are very few other options. We had heard great things about Ha Tien’s atmosphere, but we were disappointed and left after one night.

I booked two king rooms with balconies, but they tried to give us double rooms that didn’t even have windows, then demanded an extra 600 000 for the rooms that were booked. I still didn’t get balconies, only king rooms with windows, and we were the only four people in the hotel while all other rooms were empty.

It was ok. Staff spoke no English, and my Vietnamese is non existent. Very basic, but ok. We needed to get across the border. Found an hotel around the corner. Met a member of staff, that arranged transport to the border, and when we walked across the border. The bus was there waiting for us. It was in a very quiet part of ha Tien. nothing there except a market. One thing that must be mentioned. There is dt6a lot of stuff online about Andy,at oasis bar,who will sort everything for you to cross the border. Andy's oasis bar no longer exists. Unable to find any info of what happened. But the hotel we found, sorted it
