This place has a great spot in town, and the breakfast was top stuff. However, my room had some issues - the walls were a bit damp, the sink was cracked, and you could hear everything going on outside. The pub downstairs is usually bustling, but it was eerily quiet during my stay, which was a shame.

I was really impressed with this hotel - it's in a fantastic spot, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent, and the fire in the pub was a nice touch.

As a solo traveller, I felt safe and appreciated the dog-friendly policy. I enjoyed dinner at the nearby Kings Arms and had a superb breakfast. The bed was comfy, and I slept well. The hotel's location is great, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and walking routes. The room was basic but had the essentials, including a large TV and kettle. Just a heads up that you need to bring your own toiletries, and rooms above the pub might pick up some noise on music nights - but my room was fine.
