“Lovely Family-run Guest House by the Lagoon”

The spot right on the lagoon is superb, giving you breathtaking views when you wake up. The family running the place is really friendly. Breakfast by the water is lovely, and you can also grab dinner there. We tried the Sri Lankan fish curry and it was delicious. They were very flexible with check‑in and check‑out times, which was generous of them. They also arranged a boat safari and kayaking with Sudu directly from our accommodation, which was very convenient. The room was clean, the bed comfy, and the shower great. Sudu also gave us a kettle and cups when we asked. The beach is a 25‑minute walk through the village or a 5‑minute tuk‑tuk ride.

What a wonderful find. The lake is stunning and the family who owns it are exceptional. They can arrange tuk‑tuks or taxis. We chose to walk to a beach about a 20‑minute stroll along lovely lanes. The beach itself is stunning. They have boats on site for a lake tour. The scenery is again breathtaking, with monkeys, many birds, and even monitor lizards swimming along the mangrove. They have an area to eat and the food is home‑cooked and lovely. Truly a wonderful stay. The room was big, the bed comfy, and the hot water was fine. Nothing else comes to mind.

Magnificent spot right on the lake. The staff are very helpful and very kind. The location, the lake view, the friendliness of this lovely family, and the monkeys are all highlights.

Everything was liked. The host is positive in every way; I recommend it, it gives a full set of positive emotions. I have no complaints about Lake Lane Guest Rest, but I do have a complaint about the claim that the host provides free transfer—he has no idea about that, yet he still met us without any problems.
