Motel 6-Dayton, OH - Englewood

“Bad. Had a screw in the door for safety”

The room was dirty with spilled stuff on the floor; after trying to sleep because I had to drive 10 with my son, my son woke up with a cockroach crawling on the bed, so we packed up and left after only 3 or 4 hours.

They’re very nice and the rooms are very clean, and I didn’t find anything I didn’t like.

“Would have been expected difficulties for a lower price. Not appropriate crappiness for $150.”

The location was convenient, the room had a jacuzzi, and the staff were helpful. However, our room door wouldn't unlock with either key or sometimes even with the master key. They couldn't fix it, presumably because we chose the jacuzzi room and they couldn't move us. We had to call the on‑site handyman after dinner to get back into our room, and we decided not to go out again. It wasn’t terrible but it was inconvenient for all of us.

The room was spotless, complete with a microwave and fridge, a nice TV, and a tidy bathroom area. I slept comfortably on a supportive bed and pillows, and the Wi‑Fi worked flawlessly. There were plenty of eateries within walking distance, and the lobby offered free coffee along with a few vending machines. The shower water could have been hotter, but the sink water was warm, suggesting a faucet issue. The staff were pleasant, and both check‑in and check‑out were handled quickly. Thanks!

“Value”

The staff were consistently polite and did their best to get me a non‑smoking room as fast as possible. The room itself was clean and quiet. However, the refrigerator and freezer kept freezing, and there was no functioning ice machine on the premises. The bathtub stopper needed repair, and I would have preferred a more comfortable chair in the room.
