I was close to the temple, but the hotel is actually a hospital, so I wouldn’t recommend it to travelers or tourists. The whole place smelled like a hospital, which many people would find intolerable. We were watching TV at a low volume when security called to lower it even further; they shouldn’t have interfered with us just because a patient complained.

I really liked the location, right next to Padmanaabha Swamy Temple, and the nighttime ambience was amazing. The ad promised excellent breakfast, but normal rooms didn’t actually offer any breakfast.

No water, no toiletries, and broken windows. If you’re only after the location, it’s okay; otherwise, don’t pick it.

The staff were quick to respond. The property sits close to Padmanabhaswamy Temple, and from the balcony you can see a fantastic view of the pond and the gopuram. An Ayurvedic doctor and treatment facility are available. The remaining rooms are reserved for visitors. It’s very affordable. The lift runs from 7 AM to 9 PM; outside those hours you have to use the stairs. Because it’s an Ayurvedic retreat, there’s a bit of oil in the rooms, and hot water isn’t provided in the rooms, but you can get it from the massage room or ask staff to bring it.
