The hotel has its own well‑maintained grounds. The room is spacious. Among all the cottages, the view of the sea and the bay with islands is the best. There are two pools. One is warm, the other is cooler and can even be used for training. There are sun loungers and gazebos where you can always hide from the sun. Beach towels are provided. The breakfasts are good, a buffet where a tourist from any country can always find something suitable. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel manager, Rebecca Nguyen, is competent and professional, answering every guest question and providing solutions. She recommended the best cruise around the bay, helped buy discounted tickets, called a taxi, instructed the driver, and made sure the cruise staff met us. So we didn’t search long and didn’t miss the cruise. On the large hotel grounds, an electric car with a sunshade will pick you up; just call reception. Overall we are very satisfied with the hotel, but I’m writing what could be improved. Vietnam is known for friendly people, fresh seafood and fruit. If you want to stay more than 2‑4 days, the surrounding infrastructure is an issue. The hotel is good, but the surrounding area lacks affordable places to buy fruit, coconuts at normal prices of 25‑40 k dong, and cheap lunches. The hotel restaurant cooks well, but we missed simple, everyday food; for example, a seafood soup that costs 80‑100 k dong throughout Vietnam. That’s not a problem if you stay 2‑4 days, but if you stay a week or longer, you’d like cheap dishes (loss‑leaders, like in supermarkets) so you can always eat cheaply. Or the hotel could offer bike and motorcycle rentals to travel around the island and beyond to Ha Long or the village to buy fruit, lunch, souvenirs (crocodile belt, etc.). I’d like the reception staff to be as competent as Rebecca and have answers to all tourist questions. The reception staff are friendly, but some electric car drivers speak English better than the reception. In August, the sea and pool water was too warm for me because I actively swim and train 2‑3 km a day. For many tourists with children, that will be an advantage. When we first entered our room, it seemed like no one had lived there for a long time and cleaning was not done; it was dusty. For a 4‑star hotel, a safe should be in the room, as I understand. Despite that, the safety and orderliness of the staff and people in the hotel and Vietnam are fine.

The space is quiet and clean. The staff are enthusiastic. The pool is clean.

The nature is nice. The room space is small, I was in the wrong room with a broken lock that wouldn’t lock again.

The room is clean and convenient. The location is far from the resort center. The breakfast is ordinary, not luxurious. The additional meal is not good.
