The room was lovely, clean, and well put together with a comfy bed. The parking area felt intimidating because of the vehicle registration cameras, and the night was very noisy with people staggering past our bedroom door; we were woken repeatedly by the noise.

Starr Inn turned out to be a charming little find! Located in a tiny village, the room served as a perfect base for a couple of nights exploring Cornwall. The hotel and bar staff were fantastic—nothing was too much trouble, and both girls were ready for a chat and a bit of fun. The food was, without a doubt, the best we’ve had on our travels across Britain. The only downside was that the bed was only a double, which was a struggle for us, and one of the coffee cups needs replacement.

I stayed on the ground floor with my own door, so I could access it anytime. The shower room was very clean and came with shower products. The bed looked king‑size and was comfortable. The accommodation was great in size and well presented overall. However, there were only two pillows on the bed, even though I had told them I was a solo traveller. No Wi‑Fi was available, and the staff mentioned this when I arrived, but after two days it was driving me nuts! A bedside table would have helped, although there is a shelf behind. Breakfast wasn’t offered, but a small fridge might allow guests to bring their own provisions. I would have liked a plastic glass in the bathroom, but I think some refurbishment is ongoing. Visitors need to be careful about entering the car park, but I believe it’s an issue within the village, so you shouldn’t worry about parking fines.

The staff were friendly and the room was clean. We were told that we could park for free in the back courtyard, but back in Germany we received a costly parking bill.
