“a very nice 5 star hotel, which we were ultimately very happy with”
We loved the rooftop restaurant, and breakfasts were excellent. The beach and beach bar were also great facilities with all transfers provided. The room we received on arrival was unacceptable: the air‑con sounded like an engine and the room was smaller than we expected. After we complained, staff moved us to a much better room in the same category, which we were very happy with.

The staff were extremely attentive, especially Valentina, who did everything to please us. I had an issue with the room’s air conditioner that wasn’t resolved satisfactorily.

We really enjoyed our time at Patria Palace, thanks to its perfect location for exploring Lecce and its flawless service. The room was pleasant, even without a view of the basilica. Valentina gave us excellent advice for restaurant bookings, arranging our beach day with the shuttle, and many practical tips. The rooftop bar was also a highlight, great for an evening drink. The only small issue was that the directions for reaching the hotel by car via the ZTL could have been clearer beforehand, as it’s easy to get lost in the historic centre’s alleys. A lovely address in Lecce that we’ll happily recommend. The bed width of 1.50 m felt a bit tight, though the comfort remained good.
