“An enjoyable stay in a lovely setting, with very friendly staff”
The place had a lovely spot, very friendly staff and a comfy room. I did feel there was not enough signage to the accommodation; when I returned to my car in the evening I was completely lost and it took about 10 minutes to find my way back, with no help or phone number visible. Even after breakfast I missed my turn, but I quickly realised. Normally I navigate well. The breakfast staff were friendly and the food was good, but I’d have preferred it grilled instead of cooked in a lot of oil.

The breakfast was excellent with generous portions and a cheerful chef who happily met all our requests. We loved the peaceful location, surrounded by plenty of wildlife, and a local pub just down the road offered a lively atmosphere and tasty meals. All in all we had a perfect break. The bedrooms could use a bit of TLC; a few tweaks would lift the standard and bump the rating.
