“The worst accommodation experience we have ever had”
Nothing. Unfortunately, there was nothing to like. We were unable to stay due to the condition of the accommodation and the complete mismatch with the listing. Strongly not recommended — completely misrepresented property and an unsafe experience. We booked this accommodation in San Remo, and the problems started immediately. The host initially sent incorrect coordinates — we spent over an hour searching for the place, wrote to him, and only then did he send different coordinates. There was no apology or explanation. When we finally entered the apartment, we were shocked: the door was wide open, and it turned out that a family with children is actually living there. What we saw had nothing to do with the photos on the listing. The apartment was in complete disorder: — Plates with leftover food on the kitchen table, — Toys and shoes scattered everywhere, — Very dirty bathroom fixtures, — One shared bathroom for guests and for the family living there, — A child’s potty with contents inside (extremely unpleasant) right in the bathroom. Our “room” was tiny, with no chair or table, and had a very old, unpleasant-smelling mattress and bed linen that looked decades old. The photos absolutely do not reflect reality. Perhaps the apartment once looked like in the pictures, but definitely not now. It is especially sad that children are living in such conditions. We immediately left and booked another place. We obviously lost the money. The real value of this accommodation is maybe 10 euros, and even then it would not be worth staying there. The host never apologized. Conclusion: completely misleading listing, no safety, no cleanliness, and no respect for guests. I do not recommend this place to anyone
The location was fine, but the listing didn’t match the accommodation at all; you’re literally sharing a room with a family, and their bedroom is right next to yours, plus the living room and play area are full of toys. The kids are noisy, sometimes even screaming, the place isn’t very clean, and the woman at the door was hysterical, yelling at me to leave by 9 pm—shameful! The husband apologized, but the damage was done; these people aren’t fit to host guests. Avoid it.
Nothing good. When we arrived, we couldn’t reach the owner and were stuck at the door for almost two hours before we had to leave and stay elsewhere. I didn’t get my money back. There was no parking, everything was cramped, and the place was awful.
The owner was very welcoming, reserved, and hospitable, but the listing didn't make it clear that the apartment was shared with the actual owner who also has children. That wasn't a problem unless you’re traveling with a partner, because privacy isn’t really guaranteed.
