“Be aware: Event hotel”
The room was really nice, and the sofa‑bed we asked for was ready with a small gift for our child. On Friday around 4:00 pm we started hearing very loud music that made the room and even the floor vibrate. Reception told us there was an event and that the sound check was happening, with music expected to continue until 1:00 am. We asked if the volume could be lowered, but when the event began later that night we were told that the hotel hosts weekly events and nothing could be done about the volume. The manager said we could discuss compensation the next morning, which was extremely frustrating. I understand wedding guests want music, but if the noise stops guests from sleeping, the hotel should reconsider allowing non‑event guests at the same time. The music finally stopped at 1:00 am. At check‑out the next morning we were asked if everything was satisfactory; we explained the situation again. I was surprised that the receptionist seemed unaware of the issue. When another manager arrived, we were offered a full refund, which I genuinely appreciated. It seems this is a known problem at the hotel. It’s a real shame, as I really liked the room and would have preferred to leave a much more positive review.
