It’s a lovely, peaceful spot that had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway, even a kids’ climbing frame, swing set, and goals to keep the little ones entertained. The lodge was fully equipped for cooking and cleaning, and they even provided a small hamper with coffee, tea, and biscuits; I’d definitely come back. I arrived later, so I never saw any staff, but I’m sure they were friendly and helpful. I didn’t dislike anything.

There’s plenty of space and a well-equipped cabin in a great location. The soundproofing between cabins is lacking, so the neighbours were quite noisy.

The location was lovely. The bed was very uncomfortable, and the sofa bed was worn and old with a thin mattress that had a dip in the middle. The £30 per night dog fee seemed unreasonable, so I didn’t bring my dog as planned, and the unexpected £5 daily electricity charge felt unnecessary since it should have been included in the initial cost. Using that much electricity would be hard given the lodge’s size, and it seemed a bit greedy.

This lodge was spotless and had a lovely natural setting, with a beautiful woodland walk right behind it. The staff were super friendly and always had a smile. For the price, it was great value - we'd definitely stay here again.

The living area was really spacious and had a comfy sofa, which was a nice touch. However, the bedroom, bathroom, and hallway had a strong urine smell and looked a bit run down. To make matters worse, our neighbours had a crying child who was really loud, and the terraced chalets didn't help with the noise. Oh, and we had to leave £5 for electricity each day, which wasn't ideal.
