Best Western Premier Seehotel Krautkrämer

The staff were friendly and the location was quiet, plus the breakfast buffet was very good. However, the sauna area was plain and the sauna itself was old. We booked a standard double but were given an upper‑floor room with a sloping roof, 16‑18 m², and room 321 was not available as a double. There was no wardrobe for coats and the suitcase had no storage spot. We couldn’t change rooms because the hotel was fully booked, which was a shame. The price‑performance ratio was inadequate, and both elevators were broken.

“Fijn hotel, ruime kamer met mooi uitzicht”

A super nice room, very spacious with a bed and a sofa where we could relax. Beautiful view from the balcony over the lake. Nothing else to note.

“Zimmer sehr enttäuschend”

The staff were friendly, the lakeside location was good, and the breakfast was very good. Unfortunately the carpet in the room was dirty and spotted; the furniture was broken; the bathroom fixtures were worn and sluggish; the balcony door was hard to open; overall the room felt worn out… not worth four stars.

The spa, breakfast, view, and dog‑friendly policy were great. On the downside, the elevator could be heard from the room, the bathroom was shabby, and there were construction fences.

“Woher die vier Sterne kommen ist ein Rätsel...”

The free parking on the right (apparently not part of the hotel) was a plus. The rooms were very outdated, and we had to change rooms (the first room on the third floor was next to a very old, noisy elevator). The second room with a lake view was full of mosquitoes whose bites I still feel today, the antique bathroom set smelled like the drain and there was no hot water, mold was everywhere in the bathroom, and the Wi‑Fi was very slow.
