The spot was convenient and quiet, the bed comfy and the shower superb, and I had nothing to complain about.

“Basics okay but could do with updating/ renewing furnishings.”

The hot shower was good, and there was a nice selection of tea, coffee and biscuits. The room was very small, offering only the bed or a stool to sit on; I was in a budget single room, room 6, and the window was awkward to reach for an older person with infirmity. The curtains and bedding were a bit tatty and mismatched, the top sheet had a mark and small holes, and the staff weren’t very friendly on arrival, though they were slightly better when I was leaving and I still struggled to get a smile.

The host was very friendly, the bed was okay, and the location was an easy walk to restaurants, but I didn’t like the flannelette bottom sheet on the bed.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in the very comfortable accommodation and excellent hosts.”

My room was very comfortable and cool even though it was hot and sunny outside, I had two sofas, plenty of toiletries, and an abundance of tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate and biscuits, plus a fridge that came with several bottles of water, and I had nothing to complain about.
