We had a wonderful time at the Old Forest House and felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Frank is an amazing host—warm, attentive, and especially kind to children. It’s clear he cares about guests’ comfort. The apartment and surroundings had everything you could wish for, including a great selection of books, toys, board games, and even drinks, so it felt more like a home than a rental. The trampoline was a big hit for our daughter, and seeing how much space and options there were for kids made the family vacation relaxed and easy.

“Kölsche Herzlichkeit trifft auf bayerische Kultur und Natur”

We were greeted in Bayern with Kölsch; Frank was a wonderful host. We felt very comfortable and would have liked to stay longer. The apartments were comfortable and clean, lacking nothing. The kids (really adults) were excited every day to see if another small surprise awaited them at the door. From the Old Forest House it’s a 10‑minute walk to the village of Reit im Winkl.

A family‑friendly place with super helpful hosts, plenty of toys inside and out, and a bakery service each morning. The mattress felt a bit too soft for us, but that’s just personal taste.

“Tolle Lage, gemütliches und sauberes Zimmer”

The location is great—quick access to the ski area and a PENNY right next door for quick shopping. The board games were a real highlight; our child loved them. The room was cozy, clean, and tidy. Every day the host left little gifts, which we really appreciated. The only downside was that the pillows weren’t very comfortable and the rooms are a bit noisy.
