Everything was spotless, the staff were courteous, the onsen was fantastic, and the place was quiet. The only downside was that there were very few vending machines.

“Gutes Hotel”

The front‑desk team were really nice, our tatami room was very clean, there was free parking and good transport links, the tatami flooring stayed in good condition, and there were vending machines and laundry facilities; the on‑site onsen was free to use (though we didn’t try it). The room felt a bit small—fine for two people but cramped for four—and we had to make the futons ourselves; the futons were very thin and the pillows were quite hard.

“Onsen hotel best suited to Japanese guests”

The room was a great size, but the layout was a bit awkward. We liked the large closet and the fact that parking was free. The cafe on site served a decent lunch, and our room was quiet. However, the shower only had a tiny spray nozzle, and the towels were laughably small. We had to ask for extra towels, and the bathroom sink was a bit of a pain to use. There was no waste basket in the bathroom, and they didn't provide bottled water like most other Japanese hotels do.
