We only stayed one night and rode our bikes around. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The place itself is a bit old and could use a refresh, but it was adequate for sleeping and the breakfast was also sufficient.

The breakfast was plentiful and served at the table; the hotel is well located, though getting to the lake requires transportation, and English communication with the owner was a bit tricky, but her great kindness and willingness to make us comfortable smoothed over the misunderstandings.

We rode bikes around Lake Constance and the hotel offered a lockable shed for our bikes. Overnight guests could use the Bodensee‑Card for public transport. Since the inn stopped cooking, we headed to Lustenau. A bus stops right in front of the inn and runs hourly to the Asian spot “Engel Wang Fu” – we were craving Chinese, and the all‑you‑can‑eat buffet was huge.
