Atrium Hotel and Suites DFW Airport

“Never stay there again.”

The hotel is close to the airport and the van driver, Ishmael, was very friendly. But we couldn’t locate our reservation; the check‑in took a long time even though I had booked through the website. It seemed the employee was new, constantly asking others what to do, and overall the staff were unfriendly, never greeting me or speaking again after arrival. They never gave me the parking lot access code or the breakfast voucher that was included. The gift shop was open from 6 AM to 2 AM. At 9 PM I tried to buy a bottle of water and the door was locked. This was the second time we booked this property and the second time we had a bad experience.

Parking was free and breakfast was provided, plus the pool looked nice. However, the staff were clueless: we waited 25 minutes before we could check in, and they never told us we needed a code for the parking, so we had to wait another 15 minutes to get it. The next day we queued for breakfast and were told we had to pick up coupons at reception before we could eat – something I’ve never seen before. They should give all the information at arrival. The breakfast vibe was also off: the chef was putting insane pressure on his staff, so as soon as you finish your coffee, they aggressively clear your table to make room. It’s a shame because the hotel has potential.

“Great value, much nicer than I expected for the price!”

Much nicer than I expected! The room was a little outdated, but clean and comfortable and quite large! The common areas were more updated, they're clearly in the process of renovating by stages. The included breakfast was fantastic. Nice that there was secured parking. Didn't get to take advantage of the pool, but it looked lovely! We travel to the Dallas area often, will definitely stay here again, great value!. No complaints!

“This is a good choice for those coming in late who need to stay nearby.”

The location and the staff’s friendliness were positives. The shuttle didn’t run as often as the listing claimed, which seems to be common for most hotels nowadays. The kitchenette had limited utensils – just one cup and two knives, which felt a bit odd – and we could hear people in other rooms.
