“Lovely girls weekend away”

We appreciated the included breakfast, which we thought would be a standard continental spread but turned out to be a mini high‑tea style meal—a nice surprise. The beds were very comfortable and we enjoyed the separate sitting area in our suite. The location is great and the heritage home is beautiful. Room cleanliness could be a bit better, but it’s a heritage property. The stairs to reach the rooms are very steep and may not suit older guests; this is a limitation of the historic building and something they can’t change.

“Cute guest house alternative to the larger hotels near the harbour”

Free parking, a quaint look, a large room, breakfast, attentive staff, and the harbour is within walking distance. The lack of a stand‑up shower, air conditioning, and an elevator (expected for an older building) was noticeable. The bed was too firm and uncomfortable for me. There was no residents lounge for a pre‑dinner drink or nightcap.

The old building was stunning and the breakfast was a highlight, but the library room felt cramped and someone had left their shoes there, and construction blocked the usual beautiful view from the dining room.

Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping and the dining staff were friendly and welcoming, sparking pleasant conversations, and the building itself is gorgeous—perfect for those who appreciate historic vibes.
