The food felt like home cooking and Tausa was lovely, fitting our dietary needs. The price of food and drinks wasn’t clear before checkout, so it came as a bit of a surprise.

“A disappointing stay that did not meet expectations.”

The location was convenient for visiting Mikumi National Park, but the overall experience was disappointing. The manager was neither welcoming nor professional in her communication. When we entered the room, a strong smell of mosquito spray lingered. There was no blanket or duvet on the bed, no batteries in the air‑conditioning remote, no hot water, and no telephone to contact reception. Because the room was some distance from reception, I had to walk there whenever I needed assistance. I asked for drinking water and a blanket, and I also requested an iron; I was initially told none was available, but they eventually provided one, which unfortunately did not work. I also noticed small bumps or spots on the bedsheet, raising concerns about the cleanliness of the bedding. Our booking included breakfast, yet we were only served bread and tea. Most concerning of all, after I had stayed at the property, paid in cash and checked out, the property reported my reservation as a “no‑show.” I had to contact them and confirm that I had actually stayed so that my reservation details could be corrected, which was very disappointing.
